Master's Degree in Counseling

Please Note: The department is no longer accepting applications for Summer/Fall 2012 admissions. The Deadline for Summer/Fall 2013 applications is December 1, 2012.

The UNC Charlotte Masters of Arts in Counseling Program has two tracks, a school counseling track and a community counseling track. While many aspects of the tracks are similar, there are some important differences.

The School Counseling track prepares students to provide a variety of counseling services to children and adolescents in both public and private schools. The community track prepares students to provide a variety of counseling services to children, adolescents, and adults through agencies, nonprofit organizations, corporations and private practice.

This page includes links to the Student Handbook and the Clinical Handbook. Both contain important program information that students need to be aware. If you are new to the program or a returning student and have questions about your Program of Study, please feel free to contact your advisor. The materials in the handbooks can be downloaded and read using the Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you do not have the Reader, you may download it here.
