Dr. Teresa Petty is an Associate Professor and Interim Associate Dean in the College of Education at UNC Charlotte. She received her Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, her M.Ed. in Instructional Computing Technology and her B.S. in mathematics from UNC Greensboro. Teresa’s teaching focuses on instructional design, teacher leadership, and mathematics methods. Her research interests include online teaching/learning and National Board Certiﬁcation. Teresa is currently investigating the impact of National Board Certification on both teachers who receive the certification and their students. She is also developing a new Graduate Certificate program that focuses on National Board Certification. This program will benefit teachers who are interested in this certification process.
