Thesis Requirements
 

Writing a scholarly thesis or conducting a teacher research study is required for the M.A. in English Education. In ENGL/EDUC 6274 you will be introduced to this requirement, talk to students who have completed their thesis, and actually read some of the theses from the program. ENGL/EDUC6674, Research Methods in English Education, will launch you on your thesis.

Remember that in most cases, completing the research and writing requires more than one semester. If a student has completed all of coursework and has registered for the thesis credits, but has not completed the thesis, the student must then enroll in ENGL 7999: Graduate Residence for each additional semester (except summer terms) that the student takes to complete the work.
