(Above) During 2007-2008 UNC Charlotte students tutored students at J.T. Williams Middle School in Charlotte, NC. Students from J.T. Williams visited UNC Charlotte for a campus tour, lunch, and fellowship in April 2008. Literacy PALS (Partners Achieving Literacy Success) is a volunteer tutoring program that connects individuals and groups of UNC Charlotte students with schools and community organizations. College students from honor societies, social and service organizations tutor and mentor grades 3-12 students. Local partners include the Charlotte YMCA and Seigle Avenue Partners, as well as CMS schools.
