The Office of Educational Outreach (OEO) works in conjunction with numerous groups, departments, and professionals in an effort to provide the community a variety of educational opportunities. These activities target teachers, middle and secondary students, counselors, administrators, and other community stakeholders that are committed to strengthening the local infrastructure of education, i.e., curriculum, pedagogy, networking, resources, etc.
OEO is committed to promoting continuous partnerships in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg region that support a diverse population of learners, teachers, and other professionals. Through continued dialogue with community, OEO will continue to support the university’s mission to increase the intellectual capital of this region.
Mr. Victor Mack has been a member of the UNC Charlotte staff for 13 years. In his previous capacity as CMSTE Pre-College Coordinator, Victor directed the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Regional Science Fair and co-sponsored the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Regional Science Olympiad. Victor and his staff annually facilitated the university’s Saturday Academy and Summer Scholars program. In conjunction with his duties as Director of Educational Outreach, he is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction at UNC Charlotte.
Ms. Jennifer Townsend has been a member of the UNC Charlotte staff for one year. She has served as the Undergraduate Assistant for the Office of Educational Outreach and is a 2011 UNC Charlotte graduate, majoring in accounting. Ms. Townsend brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Office of Educational Outreach from her previous work experiences with the Bar Management Group, SABIC Innovative Plastic, and Aquesta Bank.
