Intensive Supervised Play Therapy Experience
by Dr. Phyllis Post

Center for Play Therapy Training

June 23-27, 2008

To register for the Intensive Supervision in Play Therapy, participants must complete the Application for Intensive Supervision and be accepted into the program.

The last three days of intense and dynamic training includes instruction, demonstrations, and supervised experiences in individual and group child-centered play therapy using video monitors and live supervision. In cohort groups of three play therapists to one supervisor, participants conduct a minimum of 6 play therapy sessions over the three-day training, observe a minimum of 12 play therapy sessions conducted by their cohorts, and participate in all supervision and feedback sessions. Utilizing a developmental perspective, participants will explore how to integrate child-centered play therapy into their play therapy practice. Participants will earn play therapy under supervision hours towards RPT (3 hours of individual play therapy experience, 3 hours of individual supervision, and 12 hours of group supervision). Prerequisites: Participants must have experience in play therapy. Please click here for an application form. Applications are due April 18, 2008. Space is limited; only 12 participants will be accepted. The fee for the three days is $550, due upon acceptance to program. Note: Participants selected for this 3-day workshop are unable to attend the June 25 workshop by Elaine Wittmann.
