College of Education Voting Policy

The Voting Policy of the College of Education is informed by the Faculty Governance Documents of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, including the Constitution of the Faculty and the By-Laws of the Graduate Faculty

Unless there are specific restrictions in the Faculty Governance Documents, all full-time persons holding academic rank of lecturer or above, regardless of modifying adjectives, shall be eligible to vote on matters pertaining to the College of Education. (Consistent with Faculty Constitution)

Part-time faculty and Visiting and Adjunct Faculty may not vote on matters pertaining to the College of Education. (Consistent with Faculty Constitution)

Faculty with full time joint appointments across colleges or departments may vote or hold office in the College of Education as long as their primary faculty appointment is within an academic unit within the College of Education. (Policy Statement on Joint Appointments)

Determination of voter eligibility on specific issues shall be the responsibility of the College of Education Faculty Council in accordance with the Faculty Governance Documents of the University.
