Math & Science

Young children are full of curiosity.  They are explorers and inventors.  This is a natural time to incorporate reading that has a math, science, technology, or engineering (STEM) focus.  Books about STEM help readers develop key skills such as predicting, understanding cause and effect, understanding sequence, building a rich vocabulary, and developing background understanding.  Select a good STEM themed book and engage your young reader in developing positive attitudes about the world around them.  Pause and reflect and ask questions.  Below are some question ideas that will make reading more fun.
